HOW IT LOOKS/FEELS:
Shake up the bottle to blend the oil and the pigment and you get smooth liquid drops of color with soft sheen.
WHY WE LIKE IT:
We were already huge fans of the flawless, natural finish of Giorgio Armani's Breakthrough Award–winning semimatte foundation, Maestro Fusion. This base also replaces the water and powders in typical foundation with a mix of oils, enabling it to look less like makeup on your skin and never cake or pill. But don't let all that oil scare you: The formula doesn't feel greasy once it's on because the oils evaporate, leaving behind just the pigment. Instead of squashing shine, though, Maestro Glow adds just a hint of—you guessed it—radiance. The amount of glow you get depends on your skin tone. We found it to be mild on fair and olive skin and a bit more noticeable on medium and dark skin. The fact that it doesn't feel or look like makeup once it's on makes it a control freak's dream. You can get light to medium coverage—depending on how many drops you use and the size of your face—without the risk of OD'ing. Just layer it on until you have the level of coverage you want. It's pretty much impossible to make it look like a freaky mask (well, unless you purposely use the wrong shade, in which case the masked look was what you were going for).
